This Code of Conduct defines the principles and requirements of Kluitmann Industrietechnik Handels GmbH for its external suppliers of products and services with regard to their responsibility for people and the environment.
Kluitmann Industrietechnik Handels GmbH reserves the right to amend the requirements of this Code of Conduct in the event of reasonable changes. In this case, Kluitmann Industrietechnik Handels GmbH expects its external suppliers to accept these reasonable changes.
The external provider (supplier/service provider) hereby declares:
Compliance with the law
- Compliance with the laws of the applicable legal system(s).
Prohibition of corruption and bribery
- Not to tolerate or engage in any form of corruption or bribery, including any illegal offers of payment or similar benefits to government officials in order to influence decision-making.
Respect for employees' fundamental rights
- To promote equal opportunities and equal treatment for its employees regardless of their skin colour, race, nationality, social background, any disability, sexual orientation, political or religious beliefs, gender or age.
- To respect the personal dignity, privacy and personal rights of each individual.
- Not to employ anyone against their will or force them to work.
- Not to tolerate unacceptable treatment of workers, such as psychological abuse, sexual and personal harassment or discrimination.
- Not to tolerate behaviour (including gestures, language and physical contact) that is sexual, coercive, threatening, abusive or exploitative.
- To ensure fair remuneration and guarantee the statutory national minimum wage.
- To comply with the maximum working hours stipulated by law in the respective country.
- To the extent permitted by law, to recognise the freedom of association of employees and neither to favour nor to discriminate against members of employee organisations or trade unions.
Prohibition of child labour
- Not to employ workers who are under the minimum age of 15. In countries that fall under the exception for developing countries in ILO Convention 138, the minimum age may be reduced to 14.
Health and safety of employees
- To take responsibility for the health and safety of its employees.
- To mitigate risks and ensure the best possible preventive measures against accidents and occupational diseases.
- To offer training and ensure that all employees are knowledgeable about occupational safety.
- To establish or implement an OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) management system in accordance with ISO 45001 or an equivalent system.
Environmental protection
- To observe environmental protection in accordance with legal norms and international standards.
- To minimise environmental impact and to continuously improve environmental protection.
- To establish or implement an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001 or an equivalent system.
Supply chain
- To promote compliance with the contents of the Code of Conduct among its suppliers and service providers to the best of its ability.
- To comply with the principles of non-discrimination in the selection of suppliers and in dealings with external providers.
